Changing his name to Glenn Shadix, he made his film debut in the poorly received The Postman Always Rings Twice (1981), later winning a breakthrough role in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice (1988) as Otho, the pretentious and treacherous interior designer who dangerously dabbles in the paranormal. Tim Burton went on to cast Shadix as the voice of the Mayor of Halloween Town in The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), and Senator Nado in Planet of the Apes (2001).
Notable television credits include NBC's Seinfeld (1989), and HBO's Carnivàle (2003). On September 7, 2010, Shadix accidentally fell at his condominium in Birmingham, Alabama, and died of blunt trauma to his head. He had already had mobility problems and was wheelchair-bound. Daniel Emery Taylor fell in love with performing when he was cast as the Father in his elementary school stage production of 'Twas The Night Before Christmas. A talent scout for a local agency saw him, contacted his mother, and the next thing Daniel knew he was auditioning for that classic made-for-TV film "A Father's Homecoming" (1988). He did not get it. However, he did book the second role he auditioned for: Darryl in the campy 80's schlock classic The Return of Swamp Thing (1989). His path was set from there. More roles followed but eventually, Daniel found his stride in the world of independent horror, writing and co-directing such brutal offerings as The Hospital (2013) and Camp Massacre (2014). Unhappy with the quality and artistic direction of these projects, he founded Debtor Entertainment with an emphasis on entertainment value and artistic merit. His solo directorial debut, It's Just a Game (2018) played festivals in 2019 to positive reviews.- Actor

Blues guitarist Louisiana Red was born Iverson Minter in Vicksburg, MS, in 1936. He moved to Pittsburgh, PA, in 1945,but the only musical jobs he could get was playing on street corners for spare change. He relocated to Chicago and had a little better luck there--he managed to record a few singles for Checker Records--but he enlisted in the US Air FOrce in the early 1950s and and left in 1958. He got back into the music business after his discharge, and in the early 1960s recorded his debut album, "Lowdown Back Porch Blues", for Roulette Records. In 1971 he recorded the album "Louisiana Red Sings the Blues" for Atco Records, but it didn't sell well and the label dropped him. Eventually he moved to Europe, where he continued to record and perform.'- Ira Hamilton was born on 23 May 1929 in Bessemer, Alabama, USA. Ira died on 14 January 2007 in California, USA.
